The War Arena
SCRIPTWAR
Your script steps into the arena. ScriptWar is a writing tournament, not an assessment score: 32 writers enter each room, then face each other one-on-one. Readers see your fighter image and the writing in the match, not your name. They vote on the pages; Don Chuy weighs in too.
The rules of the room
Thirty-two writers. One room. No names on the ballot.
First, make your fighter. Create a free account, choose a pen name and fighter initials, and upload a portrait for your post-nuclear combatant. You can create the fighter without paying for a membership.
Then, claim your seat. A paid member can submit a screenplay, prepare its logline and synopsis, and supply the actual opening and closing five pages. Finish your entry in the Muster Hall. Your image represents you in battle; your real identity stays off the public voting matchup.
A full roster is not the starting gun. Each room seats 32 writers. As one room fills, another opens for the next 32. Angelo starts voting for a full room when its entries are ready. You do not have to wait for every other room to fill.
Head-to-head, not a popularity contest. Two anonymous entries appear side by side. Readers compare the writing, cast a vote and say why; Don Chuy delivers his own verdict. The public arena shows the pages and live vote count. Writers advance through the room's bracket.
What readers compare
Four rounds. Your actual words.
01 / Logline
The story in a sentence: whose hook makes someone need to read on?
02 / Synopsis
The shape of the story: what happens, why it matters, and where it goes.
03 / First five pages
The opening five pages of the uploaded screenplay, not a rewritten excerpt.
04 / Last five pages
The closing five pages of that same screenplay: does the ending land?
The final bell
Room champions meet for the Season 1 title.
If more than one 32-writer room competes, each room's champion goes into a final showdown. Don Chuy, Angelo and his team decide the true Season 1 winner from those champions. This final decision is separate from the anonymous reader ballots in the room battles.
Season 1 winner's prize. A producer call is an introduction and conversation, not a promise of representation or a production deal.
