TERMS OF SERVICE

Last updated August 2026

These terms govern your use of Scriptageddon.com, operated by Hazard Talent Management. By creating an account or submitting a screenplay, you agree to them.

1. Your work stays yours

You retain all copyright and every other right in any screenplay, logline, or material you submit. Nothing in these terms transfers ownership of your work to us.

You grant us only the limited licence needed to operate the service: to store your material, process it to generate your assessment, and display it back to you. That licence ends when you delete the material or your account.

We do not sell your work, publish it, license it to third parties, or use it to train machine-learning models.

2. What the Armageddon Score is — and is not

The Armageddon Score™ is an editorial development tool. It measures the current draft against a fifteen-category craft rubric and returns observations and suggestions.

It is not a prediction of commercial success, a guarantee of representation, sale, production, or festival placement, a legal or copyright review, or a substitute for professional advice. Scores are generated with assistance from automated systems and may contain errors. Use your own judgement.

3. Accounts

You must be at least 16 years old and provide accurate information. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your credentials secure. One person, one account. Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised use.

4. Free tier, coins, and membership

Free accounts receive six submissions: three full premium assessments and three limited reads. Armageddon Coins are one-time credits that unlock a full assessment; they do not expire and have no cash value.

Membership is billed monthly in advance and renews automatically until you cancel. Membership includes 15 full premium assessments per billing month. Once those 20 are used, additional reads require an Armageddon Coin until the next billing month resets the allowance. Cancelling stops future renewals; access continues to the end of the period you already paid for.

Prices may change with at least 30 days’ notice. Any change applies to your next renewal, never retroactively.

5. Payments

Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card details. Applicable taxes are calculated and collected at checkout. Your statement will show a charge from Hazard Talent Management or Scriptageddon.

6. Public profiles and the leaderboard

Your work is private by default. If you choose a pen name and opt in, your pen name, best score, public bio, and non-hidden project titles may appear on the leaderboard and your public screenwriter page. You can turn this off at any time, and hidden projects are never shown.

7. Acceptable use

Do not use Scriptageddon to:

  • submit material you do not have the right to submit;
  • submit content that is unlawful, or that harasses or endangers others;
  • scrape, resell, or systematically extract assessments or site content;
  • circumvent free-tier limits, payment, or rate limits by any means;
  • attempt to disrupt, reverse engineer, or gain unauthorised access to the service.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these rules, with a refund of any unused purchased coins where the breach was not fraudulent.

8. Third-party content

The Wire links to third-party publishers, and the Academy links to external educational resources and booksellers. We do not control, endorse, or take responsibility for third-party content, and headlines remain the property of their publishers.

9. Availability and liability

The service is provided “as is”. We work hard to keep it available and accurate, but we do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.

10. Changes and contact

We may update these terms; material changes will be announced on the site and the “last updated” date will change. Continued use after a change means you accept it. Questions go through the support page.
