Armageddon Coins
One coin is one unit of a full Don Chuy Assessment. Spend coins to run a brand-new screenplay, or to unlock a score-only report you already ran. What a read costs depends on format and length — see the price table below.
Red Pen Passes
One pass buys depth on a single piece of your script: a scene, act, or chapter taken apart line by line, or one Dialogue X-Ray across the whole cast. Passes are sold, never bundled with reads — so they can never recycle into free coins.

What a full read costs
Every format has a flat headline price and an included page count. Run past the included pages and each extra 120 pages adds one coin — so a sitcom pilot never pays a novel's fare, and a novel never sneaks in on a sitcom's.

Trades go in fives. You can exchange 5, 10, 15… passes — never four, never six.
One way only. A coin never breaks back down into passes. Once you trade up, it stays traded.
Passes are earned or bought, never minted by reads. Completed assessments no longer come bundled with passes, so the exchange can never fund its own next coin.

A writer's guide to managing credits
Six habits that keep good writers funded and bad surprises out of the wallet.
1. Start free, spend late
Use the free first-60-page read before you buy anything. It tells you whether the draft is ready for a paid full read — or whether another rewrite comes first.
2. Rewrite in pairs
The Draft Pair exists for a reason: run the draft, rewrite, run it again, and read the draft-to-draft progress report. Progress you can see beats hope you can't.
3. Passes for precision, coins for the whole
Don't spend a coin to fix one broken scene. A single pass takes that scene apart line by line; save coins for full reads of genuinely new drafts.
4. Trade up only when the shelf is full
The 5-for-1 exchange is one-way. If you're mid-rewrite and using passes weekly, hold them. Trade up only when passes are sitting idle.
5. Buy the stack you'll actually burn
Bonus coins only save money if you use them. If you run one feature a year, a single coin beats a bundle. Working a slate? The bigger packs cut your per-read cost nearly in half.
6. Know your format's page band
Check the price table before you upload. A pilot past 75 pages or a feature past 140 costs extra coins — trimming to the band is the cheapest edit you'll ever make.
